SLY HAS THE BUTLER WAIT
Bromance is all well and good, but Sly needs his space. When a “very happy and bubbly” Gerard Butler came to greet Sylvester Stallone before a screening of “The Iceman” at L.A.’s ArcLight cinema, Sly told Butler, actor Michael Shannon and producer Avi Lerner to get out of his shot while photographers snapped his picture.
“Sylvester Stallone was being a diva,” according to one source in the theater.
Eventually however, a second source saw the gents exchanging handshakes and posing for group shots. Although Butler isn’t in the film, he was the center of attention as Ray Liotta, who plays gangster Roy DeMeo in the movie, insisted he come by and meet his two daughters, who are big fans.
... At a DeLeon Tequila-sponsored afterparty, an affable, chain-smoking Butler told guests he came to the screening to support his pal Ariel Vromen, who’d directed the film. According to Butler, he knew Vromen was a “real person” when they first met and the non-starstruck director said, “Nice to meet you. Excuse me, but I have to go to the bathroom and take a s—.”
