Alex Proyas : Scenes are cut for many reasons. Sometimes it is because the movie is considered too long. Sometimes scenes just do not add anything new to a story and sometimes the scene just does not work out as well as you had hoped. I the case of this scene in GODS and several others we just could not afford to finish them -- in a movie where everything is a visual effect (and in this case has an elaborate CG character who speaks -- i.e. Anubis) every second of footage is extremely expensive. As I say hopefully if the movie is a success it might encourage the studio to spend the money needed to complete this scene and a few other deletes.
Короче бабок не хватило, разрисовать эту сцену спецэффектами. Но вот если будет коммерческий успех, то он ее тогда доделает и бла-бла-бла. Короче не будет букета божественных трупиков.
